SUMMARY
The
primary responsibility of the Title I Coordinator II is to coordinate the
district Title I program, in compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations, policies and guidelines.
Duties include submitting Title I financial application, LEA budget,
yearly reports, and compliance assurances.
Coordinates with principals, professional development
team, and school staff for implementation of Title I programs.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
Demonstrates
knowledge of Title 1 regulations, guidelines and programs.
Assists in developing LEA
consolidated plan.
Identifies
eligible Title1 schools on an annual basis.
Applies formula for allocation
of funds
Prepares
Financial Application for funds.
Submits
LEA Title 1 Budget and amendments.
Completes
annual reports including: Comparability Report, Low Income Report, and
Statistical and Performance Report.
Analyzes
Adequate Yearly Progress and Highly Qualified Teacher Reports.
Monitors
program compliance and assurance review and checklist, including:
school choice, transportation, supplementary services,
and school report cards.
Serves
as Liaison for USOE Title 1.
Coordinates
with principals of Title1 schools.
Assists
schools in creating needs assessment and CSIP plans.
Approves
Teacher Assistant contracts for Title 1 schools.
Assists in School Program
Improvement and applies for SPI grant.
Assists schools in implementing, parent involvement,
extended learning, and family literacy programs.
Coordinates
with Literacy, Math, and Professional Learning Communities Coordinators.
Serves as site coordinator for
Reading Recovery
Coordinates
with:
Private Schools
Head Start
Early Childhood Transition Committee
Title 1 Preschools
Office of Child Care Resource and Referral
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES
Has
supervisory responsibility for the Title I Coordinator I and Title I Secretary.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s
Degree preferred or Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college
or university and 5 years of successful teaching experience.
CERTIFICATES,
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have an active Utah Teaching License with
proper endorsements.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS
Ability
to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations. Ability
to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients,
customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as
discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING
ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal
with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
