The information listed under Specific Certificates, License, and
Registrations is in addition to the information provided on the basic Special
Education Severe Paraprofessional position description.
Specific Certificates,
License, and Registrations:
Paraprofessionals assigned to the STARS location are
required to maintain an active CPR and First Aide Certification during the
duration of their assignment at that location.
Newly assigned Paraprofessionals must obtain the certification with 4
months of the start of the assignment.
Paraprofessionals are required to submit a copy of their active CPR and
First Aide Certification to the Special Education Department at the District
Office. Obtaining and maintaining the
required certification is the sole responsibility of the employee and are not
subject to reimbursement by
